Students can purchase items from the Book Fair tomorrow. Make sure you bring money if you intend to buy something.
1) Make sure Chapter 1 and 2 vocabulary is complete. I will check it for a grade tomorrow.
2) Study for the weekly quiz: -Stems -Figurative Language -Tone -Point of view -Dragonwings Ch. 1-2 (vocab. and content) New Stems:

(Meaning of the stem + meaning of the rest of the word) Example: bicycle = two + wheels In your composition book, on the page titled "Dragonwings Name Card," create your own "Chinese Name" that reflects you. It should fit the following criteria:
1) Write a short story using one word for each stem. The story must make sense, creative, and show understanding of the meaning of the words.
2) Chinese/American compare/contrast essays are now PAST DUE. Get them in! 1) Finish the compare/contrast essay on Chinese and American culture. DUE TOMORROW!
