2) Study for the weekly quiz: -Stems -Figurative Language -Tone -Point of view -Dragonwings Ch. 1-2 (vocab. and content) New Stems:

(Meaning of the stem + meaning of the rest of the word) Example: bicycle = two + wheels In your composition book, on the page titled "Dragonwings Name Card," create your own "Chinese Name" that reflects you. It should fit the following criteria:
1) Finish the compare/contrast essay on Chinese and American culture. DUE ON WEDNESDAY
2) Think of one word for each of the new stems: eu- (well, good) fort- (strong) hyper- (over, above) intra- (within) mega- (big) phobia- (fear) Choose one of the word from each list (one for each stem) and write the definition of the word.
